At SAP TechEd 2008 Shanghai, SAP CTO Vishal Sikka received an interview from China Information World, saying that the application based on SaaS goes against the integration of systems and will cause more difficulties to integration. According to him, expansion based on the use of the suite software is the key for the development of the current management software. Meanwhile, Vishal Sikka emphasized that SAP Business Suite can offer reliability, flexibility and insight for customer, although he did not negate the benefits of SaaS. He believes that helping enterprises improve operating efficiency, insight and flexibility to improve competitiveness is the key for the IT application in the changing era. He said that in order to help large and medium-sized enterprises feel the benefits of SaaS while avoid the integration difficulty of the latter, SAP has extended its current suite software by integrating the business intelligent function of the newly acquired Business Objects to enhance the function of NetWeaver to further realize the on-demand application value of SOA. In order to help customers more efficiently manage their integrated business processes, SAP has launched the single SOA middleware product SAP NetWeaver PI, which has owned 2800 customers currently. In addition, SAP strives to expand other application areas such as GRC and CPM and emphases the idea of ecosystem. SAP has created SAP EcoHub to help customers to exchange information in a more convenient way and obtain important partner solutions. |
